Trust Hisashi to be gentle, even with his own large stature and brawny features, the man was the definition of a gentle giant. Inko smiled with such love and adoration, it simply exuded from her. His hands, scarred and calloused and almost larger than life, were now trembling against the small head as they gently touched the soft sprinkles of green hair atop the head. His face was slightly contorted in worry, as if thinking the simplest mistake would shatter the image in front of him. Her husband seemed to be having a similar thought process, for when he came closer, he oh so very gently touched their son’s small fisted hands with his own much larger, callused fingers in a featherlike touch, almost as if the small miracle in her arms was made of glass. Her hopes and dreams were finally within her grasp, the little being in her arms encompassed everything that she had fought to make into reality. Her arms trembled slightly, as if afraid that the small miracle would be taken from her embrace as tears once more started to shine in her eyes. Still she couldn't help but coo at him, eyes shining with complete love and something close to worship in her gaze as a breathtaking smile spread across her lips. Her son didn’t seem to want to wait in greeting them, coming to them one full month earlier. He was certainly smaller than most infants, yet that was to be expected. Her boy was so very small, she was almost afraid of squishing him by accident in her light embrace. “Come Hisashi, take a closer look at our beautiful boy.” Inko murmured, eyes glazed with pain and exhaustion, but still shinning with happiness and endearment as she gazed down at the small baby in her arms. He let himself extend his heart towards the child that his wife had wanted and loved before he was even born. Instead of a princess, he welcomed the prince that his wife had gifted him, and with it he let himself open up to one more person. Yet at the sight of the baby boy, with green hair almost identical to his mother, with only the added shades of black here and there that had resemblance to his own dark ebony hair, and form so small and pink and fragile, so so very fragile, as fragile as the arms wrapped around him and the body he was pressed against, Hisashi knew that he would dote on this boy just as much as the girl of his dreams. A cute little thing that looked everything like her mother, a baby girl that he would dote on alongside Inko and make into the little princess of the palace that they had built together. He would not lie, he had secretly been hoping for a girl. The small child was small and fragile and looked like a speck in the arms of his equally small wife, but his screams had showed the world that he was there, they were enough to show him that his son will make his presence known. Her husband, once fidgety and filled with tremors at the sight of his wife in so much pain, couldn’t help but smile at the sight of the baby No, of his son, abruptly becoming quiet once he was in his mother’s embrace. His mother, sweaty and tired and barely awake but glowing, had accepted him into her arms readily, thankful for the chance to hold her son so quickly as she rested his small head against her breast. Already the small child looked far too fragile, his screams the only strong thing about him as his small face contorted, looking almost purple in color. When Izuku was born, he screamed and screamed and continued screaming until the nurses had no other choice but to give him to his mother quickly, blood still soaking him, or else they were scared of any problems that might arise from the continued stress.
